Although none of this should be a revelation to uk.r. or TL travellers.

Most of those dates and times were in the May 2003 eidtion of the TL
pocket t.t. and IIRC were in the previous Sept 2002 copy too, but in
less detail. I put some of the dates on uk.r about this time last year.

AFAIK a depot is to be created at Bedford, as the northern section 319's
will not have access to Selhurst.

Where did they maintain the 317s then?

I seem to recall every week or so they were transferred back to
Hornsey and swapped over.

Not in the days when they were new and only ran on the Midland they
didn't.

They lived at Cricklewood in those days, Colin. In the big shed that was
newly built for them, to the east of the line, just north of the station.
The rebuilt depot lasted about five years, until Thameslink rendered it
obsolete (because the 319 stock could be accommodated at Selhurst) and is
now in industrial use.
