I've just looked at the Journey History for the Oyster card my partner uses.

He went to Milton Keynes via Euston on 23 February, returning the same
day. His morning outward journeys (bus & Tube) are given correctly. The
evening return is totally absent. Next use of the card suggests £5.50 in
total was deducted for that day, which should have been capped at £5.40
(Zones 1-4 Off-Peak).

I'm not going to chase up 10p. Does anyone know why there was this glitch?

And your suspicions were correct! Despite our best efforts to conceal
his movements, he was in bed with me all afternoon. He touched in
correctly. In fact, his foreplay was impeccable. But men are such
beasts! Afterwards, he rolled off, farted, wiped himself on the
curtains, left the money on my mantle piece and was gone. Completely
neglected to touch out.

The mayor laughs evilly, transfers another 10p to his account in
Liechtenstein, and turns back to the latest luxury yacht catalogue...

Does anyone know why there was this glitch?

Were any of the journeys before 9:30am?

I've had similar on a zone 1 journey that went completely missing
other than the (in my case correct) fare being debited. In my case it
happened just before Christmas.

I think in our case there was also a missing bus journey. (It's 10
minutes' walk, but he was carrying heavy kit, so I believe he took the
bus.)

I had the same experience with data missing from the journey history. My
outward journey for the Christmas hols was listed but my return was missing.

According to the Oyster helpline there is a problem with the system
displaying all the data. They had it recorded on their copy but it does not
appear on the webpage which struck me as being particularly useless.

Another gripe I have about the journey history is why it has to be displayed
in such an unfathomable fashion - in contrast the printed version they sent
me was a model of clarity.

They seem to have recently introduced the minus sign into Journey
History, which improves clarity a bit. This is a very advanced concept
for the 21st Century...

Indeed they have, although now the 'Price Cap' column is completely empty so
they give with one hand and take away with the other.
