West Ham district line dot matrix

Since it was modernised (coinciding with the construction of the
Jubilee Line and c2c platforms and general rebuilding of the station),
the District line platform at West Ham has had a dot matrix countdown
display. However it only seems to become aware of trains one minute
before they arrive, presumably because none of the other stations down
the line are equipped with them. When might this situation improve?

It's more to do with the way the signalling in the area works. As there's
reversing facilities at Bromley by Bow and Plaistow the next train
destination isn't transmitted until the route it set for the train to
proceed.

When might this situation improve?

When the PPP contractors gets round to installing new signalling systems?
