Which London bus garage currently has the largest vehicle allocation and how

I'd guess Holloway or Westbourne Park?

I think it must be Holloway - I had the complete allocation list until
recently, as part of my Brief - I was defending one of their bus drivers in
Snaresbrook Crown Court against an allegation of assaulting a passenger! The
issue was "mistaken identity" of the bus, and we even had the allocation
manager in the witness box giving us all the details of buses allocated on the
route in question.

I think (from memory) the allocation is around 170 buses in total.

Thanks for that. Also a supplementary question - which London bus route
requires the largest number of buses to run a full service?

It _was_ one of the following: 38, 253, 73 or 207.

The 253 was split into 253/254 so that's not on the list anymore!

As of 06/09/2003, the highest is the 73, with a pvr of 55.
(then the 38 with 50, the 207 with 48 and the 25 with 40).
