I wonder which part of our safe a secure tube system will be vandalised
by kids with spray cans this year ?

Thank God Al Qaeda haven't infiltrated the Graffiti gang :-)

There won't be as many as last year. More movement detection equipment
is in place, as well as remote CCTV monitoring, BTP patrols.Oh and the
traction current is being left on, unless there are reports of people
on the track, in which case it has to be turned off - H&S!

On a trip on the Picc yesterday I noticed that Park Royal had been
hit. (This was in the afternoon, so they'd had plenty of time to clean
it up too.)

branch, despite reports of no planned disruptions and a "Good Service"
on the line.)

Isn't three trains an hour the normal "reduced Sunday service" operated
on the branch on bank holidays? Standard Sunday service is 4-5 trains an
hour, as I recall.

The phrase "good service" on the tube generally seems to mean "we have
trains running". And thats about it.

It means "there are no reported problems".

Naturally a non-zero time will elapse between a problem occuring and
it being reported.
