I see that there's power issues in the Watford area for London Midland and
services to/from London Euston will be severely disrupted on Monday. What with the constant maintenance work around Willesden, I have to say London Midland's service of late has been shockingly bad. I guess I'll be off to Stanmore tomorrow to get into work. |

A great tirade of complaints about the London Midland service can be found over at uk.railway, in particular regular LM commuter Neil Williams has been keeping people abreast of the collapse of their service. Don't blame the work in the Willesden area - that may possibly have contributed in a small way to LM's recent problems, but it would appear their inept management is largely responsible - what's required of LM by the new December timetable is indeed somewhat more than beforehand, but LM appears to have made a total hash of managing the transition to the new timetable. Of course there's also the London Overground (DC line) stopping service from Watford Jn into Euston to fall back upon should LM go titsup, though of course pretty much everyone else at Watford will have the same idea! |
