It seems that the contract for the 207 has been re-awarded to First London,
and there are a few changes afoot. The route is to be split, with the "207"
becoming Shepherd's Bush - Hayes Bypass only, and an new route "427" taking
over the Acton - Uxbridge section.

The 207 has a PVR for 25 bendybuses (presumably the trial in 2001 was
succesful!), and the new 427 will have a new fleet of low-floor double decks
(perhaps these will be pooled from the "03" reg. Tridents that are currently
operating).

The 607 express is also retained, and can also expect to receive low-floor
DDs, as is the N207.

Any news on whether the U5 is going ahead? I've just agreed to
buy a house near Pield Heath Rd/Church Road and IIRC that would have up to
13 buses/hr into Uxbridge (5xU3, 4xU1, & 4xU5).

Award doesn't state new LFDD, just LFDD so expect the existing fleet to
remain on the 427 and replace the Vs on the 607.
The 207 already runs in these two sections so shouldn't make any difference
to journey patterns.
