West Yorkshire Bus July 12th 09 08:25 PM

London Underground frequencies

Does anyone know what frequencies are scheduled to operate on each
London Underground line, off peak, and where the various services
terminate at each end with scheduled short journeys etc

I've come across a few websites and info on Wikipedia for some lines
but they all seem to contradict themselves and are often many years
old

Can anyone help with this?

thanks

tfl gives some information:
http://www.tfl.gov.uk/gettingaround/default.aspx
Select Timetables - tube and bus and get a tube timetable for a particular
station. But it will only give approximate information, e.g. every 2-5
minutes.

One way to work it out is to use the TfL journey Planner:
http://journeyplanner.tfl.gov.uk/user/XSLT_TRIP_REQUEST2?language=en

Just give it any pair of stations and time to see the timetable of
trains between them.

http://www.geocities.com/pikkulapsi/freqs.html contains info from 1997-98. I
hope it does not contradict itself ;-)

JOOI, what're these based on? I'm sure the off-peak pattern tilts
towards Edgware-Kennington and Barnet-Morden, but maybe I'm suffering
from false consciousness...

I thought it was the morning peak that shifted that way. There is a
continual announcement at Euston, with a strange mixture of 24-hour
and 12-hour clocks, that "between 0730 and 10 am" all trains to
Edgware are from the Charing Cross platforms and all trains to High
Barnet and Mill Hill East are from the Bank platforms.

But I still constantly see or catch Edgware trains on the Bank branch
between 0800 and 0900.

In the morning (about 07:20) it seems all trains from Totteridge and
Whetstone are via Bank to Morden - fortunately my destination is
London Bridge so that's ok. In the early evening (abut 17:15)
departures from London Bridge are split about 50/50 between Edgware
and Barnet (although they seem to be timed so I always just miss a
Barnet train)
