does anyone know why trains going from Canary Wharf to Poplar have
such a problem with stopping and opening their doors at West India
Quay?

for the last month or two it's consistently been unable to stop at the
right point, and even then, it waits a couple of minutes, shunts
forward an inch, and then finally opens the doors.

I figured this was something that would happen for a couple of days,
but it's been doing this consistently for much, much longer.

Also, why are they only using the dive-under at peak time and not all
the time....? What value is there it not using it off peak?

There seem to be some major computer issues at the DLR recently. Perhaps
this is just a small part of it.

Presumably the flat junction can cope with the off-peak frequency, so
there's no benefit in using the dive-under. The value is that
passengers can alight/board at West India Quay.

Also, it's one of the first stations to have the stopping position
changed to use the extended bit of the platform.

Maybe the new stopping positions are only temporary for now, ie it's
one of those things that has to be reentered every time they reboot
the computer?
