Default Green LUL?

In the Metro a few days ago, LUL were reported as winning some green
award yet, despite the concerns about energy consumption and the heat
problem, they persist in installing huge projectors above platforms to
show moving adverts and dozens of televisions up and down the
escalators with a similar function. These all produce a lot of heat (I
felt one of the TVs to check!) and use up electricity for no good
reason (apart from marginal revenue).

How does this fit in with the scheme of things? A lack of joined up
management I fear.

The CBS Outdoor contract is worth some serious dosh - it's not
marginal by any measure.
