Default Frying smell in victoria line trains

Has anyone else noticed the occasional smell of frying you seem to get
in the new trains? Have they used some natural oil in the ventilation fans or
something? Its not unpleasent but it got a bit overpowering on saturday.

The new air-conditioners are powered by diesel, but recycled vegetable
oil also works.
When one is in the cab the smell can be pretty bad. The air-
conditioning handle-turner man lights the pilot and turns the big
wheel - the faster he spins it the colder it gets; simple!
It smells overpoweringly of fish and chips and it makes a roaring
CHUNGA-CHUNGA-CHUNGA sound.
