M-F 16.00-19.00
Friday. A map of this area is available here. If you wish to make

your
return journey during this time, you should buy an Off Peak Day

Return
or Off Peak Day Travelcard

So no need for an Anytime Day return

Don't you need that for morning peak travel?

I was looking at the change in validity for off-peak tickets of various
varieties

The 'Anytime' note was a reference back to a Sept '09 thread in this NG

"Senior railcard discount - or not? - on Anytime travelcard" which
noted that tickets bought with a Railcard were not valid in the M-F
morning peak but there the availability of the discount was not a joke
since some TOCs {but not, then or now, SWT} required an Anytime ticket
for return travel in the evening peak

Is this different to the rule as used in North London ?

The evening peak is wider than FCC's which is 16:30-19:01.

Thanks.
