Sounds like it.


I've now seen relevant posting in uk.railway and it is all about
couplings and motor not handling cold very well.


Is that really a feasible excuse? I mean, there are other places in the
world where it gets a lot colder than in London, yet EMU-class trains
there continue running without a problem.


Similarly, there are places in the world where it gets a lot warmer
than London, yet private houses there are pleasantly cool in the
summer.
