No, discount rate 7 day travel-cards have been on Oyster for quite a
while now.

It's extremely
inconvenient to be sold a paper ticket when I have an oyster. The only
consolation is that it's only a weekly ticket so I should be able to
get a new one on oyster fairly soon.

Have you *actually* said that you have an Oyster card and want your 7
day travel-card on it?
