They are. The doors don't fit properly at the sides. Not good if you
already suffer from vertigo, though the trip itself is more like
looking out of a plane that climbing a tall building

I've been on plenty of Swiss gondelbahn, and generally they aren't
air-conditioned, but do have opening windows so you get a nice breeze
and may be able to take distortion-free pictures, depending on how
wide the windows open. But getting stuck in a little capsule over the
Thames on a hot day may be a bit unpleasant.
