Various websites (ie CULG and those which copy it!) tell us that the
off-peak service pattern on the District Line is like this:

Richmond - Upminster: 6 tph
Wimbledon - Upminster: 6 tph (only to Barking on Saturday)
Ealing Broadway - Tower Hill: 6 tph
Wimbledon - Edgware Road: 6 tph
Kensington Olympia - High Street Kensington: 4 tph

What's the pattern in the peaks?

1. The Wimbledon branch collapses entirely.
2. Tower Hill trains stop short at Mansion House - but the driver is only
told after leaving Blackfriars.
3. Everything takes 10 minutes to get between Tower Hill and Whitechapel,
held at signals whilst H&C line trains faff around
4. Long queues build up on the eastbound at Barking, as LU insist upon
emptying trains in the through road, then reversing them via the sidings,
rather than reversing in the often empty bay platform.

And the service pattern eastbound from central London is (as per the visual
displays):

Upminster 1 min
Upminster 2 mins
Upminster 3 mins
Circle Line 6 mins
Tower Hill 8 mins
Barking 10 mins
Circle Line 12 mins
Upminster 14 mins (but probably turned short at Dagenham East)
Upminster 16 mins (one that really goes all the way)
