Default Oyster PAYG on NR - the battle continues... [was: Death of the paper train ticket...]

On a related note C2C seem to have dropped the idea of extending
Oyster PAYG beyond Greater London, and will instead wait for franchise
renewal, when ITSO will be a requirement.

I wonder what the status is of Chiltern's plans to extend PAYG to High
Wycombe and Aylesbury?

Or, the DfT have told the operators that Oyster beyond the London Fare Zones
will not be permitted, as it would impact on their preferred ITSO product.
Whereas it would actually be highly sensible to allow Oyster on short 'cross
border' dead ends. (Having said that Aylesbury may just be a stop on a
route to Milton Keynes in a few years.)
