There was some discussion around a month ago[1] about whether a NR
Railcard-discounted Oyster card could be used to get cheaper travel on buses. It just happened that my wanderings yesterday took me on some buses - the first two were charged at £1.20, then the third was 95p - meaning that I'd been capped at the z2-6 off-peak Railcard cap of £3.35, rather than the £3.90 adult bus & tram cap. This is contrary to the TfL website[2], which says "National Railcard price capping discounts do not apply if you only travel by bus or tram." Which was nice.
