People are telling me that the tubes are going to run for 24 hours
this new year. Is this true or will only be the usual extra hour
before total shut down?

working all night! Could go out and get ****ed. but i gotta work,
wonder what staion i will be at, when midnight comes?

You mean you /won't/ be getting ****ed while at work?

Surprising.

One of the joys of being on the reserve.... not!

The Tfl website also says that buses will run all night. Does anyone know if
this is only night buses that normally run anyway, or all buses in London,
even those that don't normally run at night.

As far as I know there will be an enhanced night bus service - normal
night service routes with some additional buses.

This is probably better for a lot of people than running the normal day
buses. If I want to catch buses home during the day I have to change
buses at least once, possibly more. With a night bus I can go straight
home from Trafalgar Square.

Enjoy the Routemaster while you still can.

You've got to be able to get on the bugger first. The last time I spent NYE
in central London (in a non work capacity) I had walked over three quarters
of the way home before a night bus trundled along that wasn't so banged out
it had the punters stuck on the sides with superglue!
