You mean it will continue 'going ahead' surely?

It's time for me to repost my gag about the Canary Wharf Group keeping a
record of all the green lights that Crossrail has received.

Yup, that's what I meant. Rather like the people the Speaker was
bollocking, I was over-excited!

Who was it that he name checked and proceeded to administer a proper shaming
to? The headmaster seemed to be enjoying himself today!

Only in terms of enabling works, service diversions, portals, and
modification of existing stations. All the "core" Crossrail work such
as tunnel and station construction has yet to start, and that involves
most of the money.

Yeah, the big dig is yet to come.

Positive news about Crossrail has been widely expected, and trailed by
various sources, not least by Boris, for the last few weeks...

Crossrail has never been in doubt, however it might have had its scope
reduced. It now looks like this won't happen.

Crossrail hasn't been in doubt recently, but it's not right to say it's
never been in doubt.

Crossrail was in doubt for many years. However, what I meant was that
it hasn't been in doubt since the Bill was passed and the project team
was assembled.

Can't remember, but it was hilarious. Much shuffling and looking at the
ground on the benches! Just like school assembly. ;-)
