It's most disappointing. I've seen the new platform used from time to
time when it's busy and there are delays. Quite often though these trains sit there for ages and then depart with no advertised destination or an incorrect one. Before the three car trains arrived it wasn't unusual in the morning peak to have to wait for 2 or 3 trains to go before being able to squeeze on so it may have been the plan to send occasional 'rescue' trains but now we've got three car trains there's no real need. I do wish they'd try turning round the Stratford-Crossharbour trains there though. The original planning application for the third platform certainly implied that sort of frequency. |

They either terminate at Canary Wharf or (in the morning peak) run through to Lewisham. But if there are any, the siding just south of Crossharbour is better for reversal as it's nearer and it lies between the south- and northbound tracks, whereas platform 3 at Mudchute involves crossing the northbound track. -- Paul Terry |

All doors open, just one person on it (the conductor?). Regards |
