The second shows a permanent way building on the trackbed. This could be
moved, I guess, but the strength of the viaduct is the main issue.

I guess if t ever were to be replaced wholesale, you might be able to
justify building it out slightly to give another passing line to
enable 4 LO platforms (1a, 1b, 2a, 2b).
