What irony if it can't get around the same corners as a bendy bus.

I also note that according to the TfL page, it will be open boarding
at all three doors, like a bendy, with the "second crew member"
specifically NOT collecting fares.

So, all the alleged disadvantages of a bendy with none of the
advantages...

Top hole Boris!

What exactly were the advantages of a bendy bus only like most people
I appear to have missed them?

They could carry a lot more people than a double decker and lots of
people could get on and off them very quickly leading to short stopping
times. There was also more room for the disabled. But hey, who cares
about practicalities and wasting all the millions spent on them if Boris
can do some showboating with an expensive pointless white elephant bus.

Who are you Hans Christian Anderson?

They do not carry a lot more than a double decker and they have far
fewer seats, disabled people do need to sit down! They may be quicker
at a few stops but they are a good deal slower at others and its end
to end journey times that count, proof of the pudding was available on
the 36 and 436 between New Cross and Paddington where there is little
or not difference either way.

It was Livingstone that wasted millions getting the wretched things in
the first place, Boris made it quite clear that he would get rid of
them and he was duly elected, that's democracy for you.

Sorry to spoil you fairy story with a few facts!
