Wouldn't like to make an estimate of a journey time using that!

Oh dear, I can just imagine them getting a letter from the lawyers.

Meanwhile, it would be better if they showed junctions (such as the one
near Park Royal) as a junction, otherwise it looks like a flyover (which
do exist on the waterways).

It's also a shame they don't show "Bow Locks" (say it quickly) one of
the best names on the waterways :)

They do indeed, there's one in Park Royal, which they correctly show.

I wonder if its always been on some sort of viaduct there or the north circular
burrowed under it when it was widened?

Looking it up this time (rather than relying on memory) the current
structure was built in 1993, replacing an earlier 30's aqueduct.

What that doesn't tell us is what was there before the 1930's and it
would be necessary to look at some old maps of the area.

Bartholomew's Handy Reference Atlas of 1925 shows the newly built North
Circular passing OVER the canal on a fairly narrow bridge (the North
Circular at that time was a rather modest road running from SW from
Golders Green - it simply petered out at Park Royal).

It is now a dual three-lane carriageway ...

.... that simply peters out at Park Royal. ;-)

Are the Hertfordhire Union canal and the Limehouse Cut so silent it is
not worth showing them?
