Default Tube Lines Could Be Sponsored To Reduce Fares

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-22745677

Saw this article on the BBC website.

Whilst it will probably never come to fruition, does anyone have any amusing suggestions regarding renamings for stations and lines?

Could Old Holborn get in with appropriate sponsorship?

Could the Strand brand of cigarettes be relaunched with a new, dynamic, City
of London association?

What a great shame the actor Stratford Johns is no longer "with us" to
sponsor his own station.

And do we know a geezer named Blake Hall who might like sponsorship as a
vanity project? Or Lester Square?

A dynamism exemplified by the dilapidated former station in Surrey Street?

Lester Square was the lead guitarist of The Monochrome Set, but I doubt
if he's minted enough to afford to have a tube station named after him ;-)

In case you hadn't noticed, tobacco advertising has been banned in the
UK for about a decade.

Ah yes.

It just sounded like a good wheeze to me.

The "Metro" line.

Fifty years too late: The District Bank Line.

Gerry Cottle's Circle Line.

Rename Vauxhall as "Opel Station".

Grieg's Bakers Street.

Perhaps the Tolstoy estate would be interested in a Warren Peace Street.
