And today's bridge bash is...

A few years ago a gantry was installed at the former low bridge at Sidcup station, not because of 'end-on' bashes but because of long vehicles straddling the dip and attacking the trains from below. It seems to have worked. The road surface beneath the bridge at Sidcup was lowered in the 1950s - before then it could only take single decker buses. Peter |
