Default Tour de France bus changes

There are no written lists of the changes which is odd but TfL have
been relying on maps to convey temporary changes for many months. They
seem to have decided not to provide text based information where the
concept is "difficult" to get across. I think that's a bit of a
mistake in this instance.

Checking today I found that Newham have a link to a written list of
changes to buses in Newham as a Word document which purports to come
from TfL
http://www.newham.gov.uk/Documents/C...BusChanges.doc

And Waltham Forest similarly to
http://www.wsfg.waltham.sch.uk/downl...-7th-july-2014

Somewhat clearer (eg for Steve Fitzgerald 262 is allegedly "Suspended
from 10:00 until Prince Regent Lane re-opens"). But I would not have
found them easy to follow without the maps alongside.

All somewhat academic for neighbour whose appointment at Whipps Cross
has been postponed. I suspect this is the result of her clinic taking a
more realisitic view of the effects on elderly travellers than Bart's
understandably guarded approach:

The links to TfL maps at the bottom of that are broken.

There are a couple of maps and some notices listing services at
Walthamstow Central Bus Stn and no one was looking at them this
morning.

Do TfL managers sometimes dream of what life would be like with the
Swiss as their customers?

I expect the place will be in utter chaos tomorrow.

A nice hack to TfL's journey planner would be to substitute "utter
chaos" for the names of bus stops in East London tomorrow

[DN given the experience of Paul Chambers I'd better add that's intended
as a joke, not a threat. I don't want or intend to hack the site. I
don't want anyone else to hack the site. I don't weant and I don't want
to incite anyone else to do any harm at all to TfL's services,
employees, contractors, suppliers, and assets; or to its customers.]
