I finally got round to going to this little display (somewhat
overshadowed by the larger, brighter cupcake stand next to it), and
took a few close-up pics of my own. Obviously I know that this isn't a
scale model of an actual proposed train, but just from a firm of
designers, but I had a few observations on the model, FWIW:

Perhaps that's just one end of the rolling stock?

The attendant is shown in the passenger saloon.

I think that's reading far too much into it. This is an embryonic
design... I haven't given it a great deal of thought, but I share Paul
C's concerns that this feels a bit too much like the New Bus for London
design process - the last thing that's needed at the end of this is a
hobbled train as the result of some fancy conceptual design.

(On the specific issue of a livery - that shouldn't be important,
certainly not at this stage. Perhaps the designs concepts should all
come with a lurid pink and brown livery, to prove that very point.)

But this was a visual design study, which was all about having authentic
seat moquettes, floors, etc. The model and video are about the look of the
train, not the as-yet-undesigned engineering. For that, we'll have to wait
for the manufacturers' mock-ups.
