I don't care what colour they are. The main difference is that the old seats were reasonably well padded, the new ones are little better than wooden benches. With less comfortable seats and lateral seating (so you can't readily see out of the window when above gound), closing ticket offices and public toilets, the tube is becoming less and less welcoming.


It's also carrying more and more passengers... record numbers in fact.
