Metropolitan, and is very awkward.

Isn't its usage on certain signs, for instance at Baker Street, a lot
older than its sudden appearance on the tube map in 1990?

Who knows what the completed Crossrail will be called. Meanwhile
Crossrail is not bad.

"The Crossrail Line" sounds a little odd though.
