![]() Apparently the hole through the foundations which was created to allow the original Fleet Line to pass through has now had a restaurant built inside it. Has anyone been in there, and is it worth seeing from a transport enthusiast point of view? |

The City of London amazes me. It's incredibly old, but I've known it my entire life and building has never stopped. NEVER. You'd think that after 2000 years the bloody thing would be nearing completion by now.... But in fact I think the City of London Corp does pretty well balancing modernity with tradition. The old churches blend in well with the ultra-modern office blocks. St Stephen's on Walbrook looks quite good next to those new blocks. It's also marvellous that the old oval, volley-ball sized parish markers are resited on the side of the new buildings.
I can't wait to see photos of the Bush Lane restaurant. Is it public or, like the GPO building, just for insiders? |
