That's why my vehicle's the Piccadilly Line -
It's the size of a county and it comes every two and a half minutes

The full list of 571 buildings is available (free!) at
http://www.londonopenhouse.org/londo...ch/showall.asp (click on
individual buildings for details), or more selective searches can be
made via

I will be a tour guide at Churchill's emergency standby Cabinet War
Rooms in Brook Road Dollis HIll on the Saturday. Book in advance as it
will be a sell out.

does the brochure or the pdf file on sale (!) have more/larger pictures
than the free (!!) on-line list? It's bit hard to decide which place is
worth a visit and which is not.

I'd very much like to purchase the brochure or the pdf, but the secure
payment page is not even SSL.

CU,
Peter

In previous years, the brochure has contained typically 1 picture per
borough, i.e 97% of the buildings have no picture at all. If you are new to
this Open House lark, get the free brochure from the library today or
tomorrow (or Tuesday?). You will probably find so many buildings you want to
visit from the text descriptions that you can not hope to visit even a
quarter of them in the weekend.

BTW, isn't "regenbogen" Dutch rather than German?

There are only about 60 photos in the printed guide. Curiously some
buildings with photos in the Guide don't have them in the online
descriptions, and vice versa. The text appears to be the same, rather
better laid out on-line.

I'd very much like to purchase the brochure or the pdf, but the
secure payment page is not even SSL.

When you click on the button labelled "Please submit this order to
WorldPay", you are taken to a secure payment page (https on the
WorldPay site.

If you live in Greater London (except Sutton, Croydon, Kingston), your
local library should have free copies available.

Probably depends on the way you pronounce it...

no point in ordering the brochure then. I'll just browse through the
online version to find interesting sites. Perhaps I can spot some of
those top notch lofts featured in a pretty good book by the name of
'London apartments'.

I'll be back next year then.

I don't speak Dutch at all, but maybe they have a similar word for
"rainbow" in the Netherlands.

hmmm, it still shows http://www.londonopenhouse.org/ as an URL. I had a
second look, and indeed, if you right click the page and "open the
selected frame in a new window", it's https.

Unfortunately I don't. :-(

Unfortunately it hasn't. :-((
