Circle suspended but not Hammersmith & City

Again? How many closures are they planning to have for that?

Actually, a better way to put it would be - how many closures did they
originally plan for and how many are they actually going to have, on
both the sub-surface and Overground lines?

It's been, in effect, a complete station rebuild, with the SSR tracks
moved, and all-new buildings. I imagine they always knew it would take
a lot of line closures.

Apparently not - they have allegedly asked for a lot more than they
originally planned because they got behind and several of them certainly
seem to be at short notice (ie advertised a week or so in advance rather
than months).

Why is the Circle suspended, but not the Hammersmith & City? Don't
they share tracks?

Well, as a guess, I'd say that as there is no service
between Liverpool Street and Barking, Hammersmith & City
Line trains will fill out the schedule to Hammersmith so
there will be no need and no requirement for Circle Line
trains to provide the same service.

The "Weekend travel information" email says the reason for the Circle
suspension is to test new signalling. Will the Hammersmith & City line
trains run with the new signalling then?

I've just received this week's email, and it sounds like they'll actually
be doing the signal testing this weekend, not last:

"Trains will not run between Edgware Road and Hammersmith. This is to allow
us to test new signalling and replace track at Latimer Road. "
