Default Fast train out of London (north)

The service will be slowed slightly from September

Why?

Probably because people from Wolverhampton, Birmingham, and Coventry
already fill the trains, so Milton Keynes people should be put on
different trains. These different trains are called Silverlink and
operate at a perfectly acceptable 100mph.

Even if the trains weren't full, it would be more use to Midlanders
for the trains to stop at Watford Junction instead, so that the train
in the right half of the hour can connect with Southern's train to
Clapham/Brighton (this connection can have very long waits through
Virgin stopping the wrong train in the hour at Watford).
