Its nice to know I'm not the only person hacked off with those lazy
******* who work for LU. Reading this group sometimes you'd think there
was nothing wrong with it and its all our fault for being passengers.

The writer of the song was featured in the metro this morning and the
Standard yesterday. Considering what TfL arse lickers the Metro is I
was surprised that they featured it. It even had the words for the song
but with blanked out naughty bits.

There almost was an Aslef strike at the beginning of the year when LU
management had the temerity to demote some driver who'd past 4 red
signals. Of course as we know drivers can do no wrong so LU had to back
down and he's now being retrained. That really fills me with
confidence.
Hopefully the retraining involves a long broom handle inserted
somewhere
painful.

Oh and don't forget the new years eve strike that was only averted when
LU coughed up yet more money for the trained chimps that run the
signals.

They used to be, until the point when Ken told them he wanted to scrap
the contract to have Metro in tube stations.

You're going to continue to repeat this rant, aren't you?

The issue was that he was not disciplined *according to the agreed
process*.

Do you think you can do better? Let's see you try.

Until I see I'm getting value for the large sum of money I spend on my
travelcard every month and don't see it just going into the back
pockets
of a bunch of lazy militant layabouts, yes.

The issue was that he was not disciplined *according to the agreed

Yeah , theres always some whining along those lines. If that was the
case why didn't they simply take LU to court and sort it out there?
Thats
what breach of contract allows. Unless of course that "agreed process"
was
a one sided verbal agreement by the unions that never actually made it
near a written job contract, with the threat that if LU didn't play
ball there'd be trouble.

A brother of a friend works as an air traffic controller. He earns
little
more than the LU signallers , probably has 10x the stress and if makes
a *single* f*ck up then not only could hundreds of people die but he
could well end up in prison. I'm trying to remember the last time him
and
his colleagues went out on strike.... nope , can't. Oh , but then he's
a professional and people who are grown up enough to act like
professionals
and realise the responsibilities of their jobs before they take them on
tend not to whinge and bleet every 5 minutes about the conditions and
pay that they were fully well aware of before they started.

Like I've said before , if LU staff don't like their jobs why don't
they
eff off and go do something else instead of pretending that they have
some sort of guaranteed fantasy land job for life with everything made
perfect for them.

It's a fairly good game actually. Have played it in the passed
