Default Delays expected as work on level crossing begins

Delays expected as work on level crossing begins

From Watford Observer Friday March 4 2005

MOTORISTS have been warned to expect delays on Bushey Mill Lane
tomorrow (Saturday) when roadworks start.
A section of the road will be closed from 10pm tomorrow until 8am on
Sunday, so maintenance and refurbishment work can be carried out on the
Watford North level crossing.
The work will result in temporary closures of up to 21 days, mainly
overnight or at weekends, up until Friday October 28.
This will affect the 1,300 metre section from the junction with the
A412, St Albans Road south, eastwards to its junction with Radlett Road
- except for access.
This will mean that a section of Bushey Mill Lane will be
temporarily closed for traffic for short periods from tomorrow
(Saturday) and October 28.
The alternative route for traffic will be via A412 St Albans
Road, A41 (North Western Avenue, Colne Way, A4008 Stephenson Way ,
Colonial Way, Radlett Road and vice versa. Diversion signs will be in
place.
The work is being carried out by Carillion on behalf of Network
Rail.
For more information telephone 01543 421900.

This area has just finished being f**ked around by Transco. It was too
much to ask that this was done at the same time.
