Woefully inaccurate (and what's happened to King's Cross?), but still a
cute idea.

Kings Cross = Mona Lisa, or do you mean what happened to it as in what
happened to the white bits of the circles?

Snatch and The Crying Game could do with being swapped. And what's with
Stepney Green, is it actually the name of a movie, or did they
accidentally leave it in? There doesn't seem to be a link associated
with it. Full Metal Jacket seems to be on the wrong side of the river
for its description too.

I'm sure I've seen Liverpool Street in a couple of movies, they must be
able to find something for that.

Kew Gardens is called Greenwich, one of at least 4 stations to have that
name! (Though the film reference - The Madness of King George - is
correct for that location, as he lived in Kew Palace.

Oh, and Harrow & Wealdstone is identified as Stevenage.

The worst omission is Aldwych. That MUST have had more films made there than
any other station.

I'm guessing the locations are where the films were set, rather than
filmed, although that does make Full Metal Jacket a bit of an anomaly.

And i suspect a tube map with both Southwark and Aldwych would be tricky
to find!

I'd completely failed to notice that!

Where the hell did they get this map from? They might just have added that
spur to fit the generic south east London sites in, i suppose.

Still, i'm quite freaked out now.

Unless they were referring to:

I think it must be a mistake.

There doesn't seem to be a link associated with it. Full Metal Jacket

Not to mention About A Boy being better off at Barbican or Farringdon.

TfL have their own ideas about movie locations:

And of course, Shooting Fish is Mill Hill East.

I would have thought this would be more accurate with a London
Connections map, rather than limited to tube/DLR.

That map was never published. It was produced for internal use only, as
the basis for incorporating the extensions and new lines then envisaged,
e.g. JLE, ELLE, Crossrail, Chelsea-Hackney.

It was published in the book. The OP simply suggested that it would be
difficult to find a tube map with both Southwark and Aldwych on it. Nothing
about it being made available free of charge, on every LUL station!

Fair enough, but the book is published by Capital Transport Publishing,

Fair point. Consider my earlier article amended to read as follows...

"LUL produced one in 1994. They allowed it to be published on p63 of Mr
Beck's Underground Map"

With Southwark following Aldwych, I assumed we were playing using the
Fleet parallel forced turnback rules. Otherwise Aldwych to Southwark
would be a very dodgy move!

Not necessarily. You can invoke the little known Great Northern,
Brompton & Piccadilly Historical Set at that point. **Provided** you
don't use "British Museum" on the Central, Aldwych can double for that,
some of its treasures having been stored on the branch during the war.

I always thought that British Museum was dangerous to play after
invoking GNP&BHS because of the combined ghost station/joined station
paradox when the interchange was built at Holborn!
