I'm usually very forgiving but it strikes me as odd that it's OK for LUL not to refund an overcharge when the card is unregistered, although perhaps there's a good reason for it. Surely it doesn't matter whether or not the card is registered? Your mate purchased £X of prepay to use to make journeys with an Oyster Card. He is now unable to make £X of journies due to staff incompetence so havent TFL breached the contract? He could spend £100+ taking them to a small claims court I did check through the Conditions of Carriage to see if there was anything about refunds and unregistered Oysters, but I couldn't find anything. I'm tempted to write to TfL to have a moan about it for him; as for a small claims court, it would be an awful lot of effort for a £1.10 overcharge. I'd be confident that something can be sorted out directly with TfL. -- Dave Arquati Imperial College, SW7 www.alwaystouchout.com - Transport projects in London |

The trouble I have with Oyster is that I cannot access the website.
My email login, username, password, helpful hint - nothing works. Requesting a password does nothing. I called Oyster as perhaps the email address was input incorrectly when I registered, but no, they spelled it back to me, and it doesnt work. They have my address on file, so it's not like my identity has been stolen. Tried re-registering the card, but my card is "already registered", tried signing up with my usual username, but that has already been taken (I know - by ME!). Does anyone have any hints? |

I'm sure you know this already - but are you using your online account
password, which is different from your Oyster card security question/ answer? Also, what's happening when you try and log-in - do you get an error message. I've just remembered that I've had problems like this before a few times, with a misleading error message appearing (I can't remember what it said), but it's just been a temporary issue. I just presumed that some unadvertised maintenance work was going on, and when I tried later or the next day it worked. |

Have you tried disabling the popup blocker? There are some sites that require this. Also try accessing with Netscape instead of IE. I have also come across a site where this was the only solution support offered. |
