Default Environmental campaigners say all cars could be green

Environmental campaigners say all cars could be green
Motorists could soon shed their tag of enemies of the environment if the
Government agrees to back the use of “green fuels” in cars and other

George Monbiot on why widespread adoption of biofuels would be a
humanitarian and environmental disaster:-

George Monbiot on why widespread adoption of biofuels would be a
humanitarian and environmental disaster:-

HIs argument is tenuous with a lot of implicit maybes. Sure if you
turned
africa or europe into one huge arable farm for biofuels they're be no
food crops. However apart from the fact that if everyone starved who
exactly would havest the crops , the small fact of war would eliminate
that possibilty before it got anyway close to fruition. If some oil
company
tries to starve a billion people its going to have more than a few
campaigners doorstepping its head office to worry about. Seems to me
he's just wheeling out the standard issue leftie
but-what-about-the-people
argument with a few minor mods. Biofuels certainly arn't the answer to
all our fuel problems but they're better than nothing.
