From the Times:
http://www.timesonline.co.uk/article...690391,00.html July 12, 2005 Terrorist gang 'used military explosives' By Michael Evans, Sean O’Neill and Philip Webster A SINGLE bombmaker using high-grade military explosives is believed to be responsible for building the four devices that killed more than 50 people last week, The Times can reveal. Similar components from the explosive devices have been found at all four murder sites, leading detectives to believe that each of the 10lb rucksack bombs was the work of one man. They also believe that the materials used were not home made but sophisticated military explosives, possibly smuggled into Britain from the Balkans. “The nature of the explosives appears to be military, which is very worrying,” said Superintendent Christophe Chaboud, the chief of the French anti-terrorist police, who was in London to help Scotland Yard. ------- Of course, a single bombmaker doesn't necessarily mean all the bombs were placed by one person. But it increases the odds greatly. Ed anthraxinvestigation.com |

Except, of course, that the explosive is now acknowledged to be commercial, not military! Of course, a single bombmaker doesn't necessarily mean all the bombs were placed by one person. But it increases the odds greatly. The single bombmaker "revelation" is a no-brainer. One would hardly expect four bombers in the same cell to be using four radically different devices, unless they were experimenting. -- Nick Cooper [Carefully remove the detonators from my e-mail address to reply!] The London Underground at War: http://www.cwgcuser.org.uk/personal/...ra/lu/tuaw.htm 625-Online - classic British television: http://www.625.org.uk 'Things to Come' - An Incomplete Classic: http://www.thingstocome.org.uk |

It's now thought they were home made, using something called TATP according to the Jeremy Vine show on R2 dinnertime. -- Clive |

For the last few days the reports were saying "commercial," but the conspiracy theorists were still syaing "military," that it was smuggled in from the Balkans (crossing most of the EU, obviously), China, etc., etc. In yesterday's 'Daily Mail' you had the ludicrous siutuation of an article saying it was military and making a big thing of it, with the revelation that it was actually acetate peroxide at the foot of the same page! -- Nick Cooper [Carefully remove the detonators from my e-mail address to reply!] The London Underground at War: http://www.cwgcuser.org.uk/personal/...ra/lu/tuaw.htm 625-Online - classic British television: http://www.625.org.uk 'Things to Come' - An Incomplete Classic: http://www.thingstocome.org.uk |
