Can anyone help
While waiting for a District line yeasterday (Saturday) at about 15.30ish at West Brompton. What came along on the NR Silverlink platform (in service) to Willesden Junction was a 2-car diesel set from the Barking-Gospel Oak line (Sorry... I'm not into train codes) instead of the usual 3-car electric set. Is this unusual as I have never seen this before. Does anyone kinow why this happened? I do know that they had engineering works taking place on the B - GO line yesterday Regards Jeff |

I don't know what was happening, but I was also surprised yesterday to see one of those sets forming the 1947 departure from Olympia to Clapham Junction (which I was trying to catch, but failed miserably to do so). It may just have been that they were short of 313s and were taking the opportunity to use one of the 150s that was spare from the Tottenham & Hampstead line. They are all based at Willesden now and, although they are not common, they do work on the West London line periodically and also into Euston on County services in place of 321s occasionally, often early on Sunday mornings. |

I do know that they had engineering works taking place on the B - GO line yesterday I don't know, but a few weeks ago I was going from Canning Town to Camden Road and they said something about the train needing to be diverted (I think) to the other line afterwards. I'm not sure as I wasn't really listening, but I do remember a lot of people getting off angrily. It didn't affect the Canning Town to Camden Road stretch, though. |
