Default Highbury question

Not one about Friday's horrible events, mercifully.

According to the Abandoned Stations website, the recen-ish poshing-up
work on the old surface building at Highbury & Islington station is
connected with ELLX phase II:
http://www.pendar.pwp.blueyonder.co....y_station.html

Presumably the idea here is to reinstate the lift from the Northern
City and Victoria platforms to the old station building, providing
step-free access to the deep lines and reducing the pressure that the
ELLX will put on the main station concourse?

Have I got the right end of the stick? Is this still on the cards? It's
not a project that seems to be mentioned on the generally excellent
alwaystouchout.com...

Default Highbury question

Brings back memories! Used to use that station, mainly the back entrance, to
use the Northern City Line before the Vic was built. There was a very
ancient, slow lift, it was usually quicker to use the spiral staircase.
