There's a locked door at the top of the SSL stairs that's either an
emergency exit or a planned future access route:

It's an emergency exit, leading to the original stairway on the south
side of Euston Road.

Actually I was in KX the other day and apart from the aformentioned
escalator bottom it was pretty good. However I've just realised its not
going to be 'finished' for several years yet as the new stairs up to
the Network Rail platforms probably wont come into use until after they
finish the new above ground structures replacing the temporary 'sheds'.
Probably why there hasnt been any fanfare on its opening.

Now the Khyber Pass is open there are also conflicting movements from the
Picc escalators to and from it

I noticed they've removed the "Keep Left" signage from the tube ticket hall
to the Met ticket hall area and probably elsewhere. I don't know if this is
an improvement in flows or not, but I guess leaving people to sort out
which side they walk on is just like anywhere else in life so it should
come more naturally than being told to walk on side only
