Wikipedia has a list: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crossin...e_River_Thames David I've just edited that to show Hampton Ferry, between Hampton Court and Walton bridges, which has existed since 1519. Are ther any other ferries that still exist on the Thames? Neill The Shepperton - Weybridge ferry. Looking on Google Earth, it might be possible to cross the river via the weir at Hampton Court as well. The entry for Walton Bridge is not that clear. It is still possible to cross by vehicle there, a new bridge having been constructed. This is a temporary structure, though how temporary until the new bridge is built is anyone's guess. That saga has been going on for years. The old bridge is still in place as a footbridge. Its an original Bailey Bridge which I believe once attracted interest from the Imperial War Museum. Neill |
