Default Bakerloo line suspended due to vandalism

For quite a while today the whole of the Bakerloo line was suspended
'due to vandalism' - does anybody know more about this? Was it the
trains that were vandalised - and if so, all of them?? How?

The windows were acid etched, and there were very few operational trains
when the service was suspended, so a D stock could be arranged to deal
with the morons.

The only good graffiti artist is a dead graffiti artist (or Banksie).

The windows of what?

and there were very few operational trains when the service was
suspended,

Surely there were no operational trains if the service is suspended?

so a D stock could be arranged to deal with the morons.

You mean execution by District Line? Sounds like a good game, very
effective lately!

The vandals used acid to etch graffiti onto the trains windows, so many
were done that the service was suspended.

This is currently being discussed on uk.railway - thread title is "More
Graffiti".

The following text is taken from
http://www.vandalwatch.citysoup.ca/Graffiti/default.htm:

-----
Acid Etching

Acid etching is a form of graffiti that has started to show up in the
Lower Mainland. It is graffiti that is marked on glass or plexiglass
with an acid containing craft etching product, found in craft stores.
The graffiti is put on with the container. It will not show
immediately, but will burn into the glass over a short period of time.
The longer the acid etched graffiti remains, the more permanent it
becomes
The acid graffiti effects can be stopped or slowed down if the
substance is cleaned off soon after it is applied to the surface, or it
can be neutralized with water or baking soda paste. It is also possible
to buff the acid graffiti off of glass, but that must be done as soon
as possible. Acid graffiti is a costly problem in the Greater Vancouver
Region.

Wheres "eastender" or "d" to tell us it was just a valid artistric
expression of teenage political angst against an oppressive bourgeois
society and anyone who says otherwise is out of touch / right wing
fascist / daily mail reader / [insert right-on putdown phrase here]?

Come on lads , we're waiting for your erudite opinions.

The only sort of acid that can etch glass in any reasonable time is
hydrofluoric. If it is acid they're using and they're not just
scratching the glass then one can only hope they spill this extremely
nasty substance on themselves at some point and end up in intensive
care or dead.

I don't wish them dead, I just wish they weren't doing it in the first
place.
