Can anybody explain how Bob Kiley got round the drug and alcohol
policy or does it not apply at TfL.

I didn't understand why he would be interviewed for that story. Is he
going out of his way to try to embarrass Ken?

Perhaps he's hoping he can go into rehab and meet some celebrity
chick? Whatever his reasons lets hope Ken sees sense and doesn't renew
his contract. I'd be interested to see if anyone has a list of what
he's actually achieved since he's been here for his 3 grand a week
that someone else couldnt' have, since I suspect it woudln't be all
that long.

Bloody hell! How on earth can anyone be worth that much?? No wonder my
travelcard costs so damn much if they'll blow that sort of money.

The "Threshers" off licence opposite Windsor House referred to in the
Evening Standard's original accusation several years ago closed down
shortly after Bob's retirement as commissioner! (Drop in trade?)

No it didn't - that's just the standing joke as I suspect you know. If
I've been "whooshed" then fair cop!

It's still open - check the Threshers website and insert the post code
for 55 Broadway (SW1H 0BD) which is two minutes away rather than the 30
seconds away from Windsor House.

Oh well, as long as it only takes an entire trains worth of people to
pay 1 day of his salary thats ok then. And there was me thinking it
was extortionate.
