Is he going out of his way to try to embarrass Ken? Perhaps he's hoping he can go into rehab and meet some celebrity chick? Whatever his reasons lets hope Ken sees sense and doesn't renew his contract. I'd be interested to see if anyone has a list of what he's actually achieved since he's been here for his 3 grand a week that someone else couldnt' have, since I suspect it woudln't be all that long. How on earth can anyone be worth that much?? No wonder my travelcard costs so damn much if they'll blow that sort of money. B2003 |

The "Threshers" off licence opposite Windsor House referred to in the
Evening Standard's original accusation several years ago closed down shortly after Bob's retirement as commissioner! (Drop in trade?) |

Kevin It probably only applies to station staff etc but not office knobs???? The D&A Policy is applied to all LUL (and I guess TfL) staff. The amount of alcohol allowed in your system when booking on for duty is zero. The difference is that operational staff can get the sack, be prosecuted and possibly be given a custodial sentance, whereas "office staff" will most likely just be dismissed. Also for LU Operational staff, if you are on any medication. You must inform your manager/supervisor before starting work. If you are D&A tested, and on the "prohibited for safety-critical" you could well be in the brown stuff. |

And for any job the management must treat alcoholism as a disease rather than a disciplinary matter. |
