From Long Acre, head east to junction of Bow Stre (mini roundabout) turn
right into Bow St. Carry on past Opera House and Tranpsort Museum and do left into Tavistock St. Cross Catherine Street and continue to Drury Lane. Turn left and head up Drury Lane to the junction of Great Queen Street. Turn right towards Kingsway. You can do a right onto Kingsway from GQS. From a local resident who has to do this daily... Is there a right turn from Gt Queen Street? Also, at the moment, there's no right turn from Parker Street into Newton Street. I was driving there last night, and ended up going into High Holborn and, through the one-way system into Southampton Row. Any "Knowledge" black-belts out there? Henry I think there is a right hand turn from Gt Queen Street onto Kingsway. However, if not, you can cross straight over Kingsway and then circle Lincolns Inn Fields (it's one-way so it's like a roundabout) and come back onto Kingsway via the short southern spur that links up with Kingsway. And here's some black-belt (or at least grey-belt) knowledge for you - there's a public lavatory at the east side of Lincoln's Inn Fields open 8am to 10pm which is a favourite with cabbies to relieve themselves of their excess tea. |
