Does anyone know if the closed bit will ever re-open?

Yes, all planning documents I've seen have it reverting to how it was,
though it's possible a separate order to close it may be sought.

How about New Inn Yard? The new station getting built, will the two
bits of New Inn Yard get re-connected? I guess not, and if that's the
case, why not rename New Inn Yard East & West?

The closure of New Inn Yard is listed as temporary in the
parliamentary act. The only permanent closures are in the area east of
Brick Lane where all the streets are being cut in half by the ramp up
from the existing cutting.

Presumably the permanent closures are everything west of Vallance
Street?

I presume the route between Weaver St and Cheshire St via the
footbridge over the GEML will reopen?

Yes, though Pedley St is still going to be a through route. Its west end
will be moved north to run alongside the new embankment until it reaches
the GEML, where there'll be a left turn under the ELL to reach Code St.

footbridge over the GEML will reopen?

They're building a footbridge over the ELL immediately south of there,
so I'd hope so.

btw, there's a bit more info on my blog, and links to most of the
documents I'm getting my info from:

Thank you U (ho ho). I'm glad that there'll be access under the ELL,
otherwise there would've been a bit of a cut-off corner created around
there.

Interesting that there'll be a new footbridge over the ELL rather than
there being a subway under it at that point, given that the ELL will
be rising up on its ramp by that point. I guess the ELL won't have
risen that high by that point, so a footbridge broadly at the same
level of the existing one over the GEML would be possible.

I'll take a proper look at your blog's entries on the ELLX and have a
gander at the linked documents.
