On Sun, 21 Oct 2007 08:00:50 -0700, Boltar put finger to keyboard and typed: Theres a works unit only exit on the M11 just south of J5 Loughton. I assumed this was just another gritter depot or police escape road but if you look on google earth theres some sort of office building with a neat car park on the western side. Anyone know what this is? Is it a motorway police station or something like that? The site was originally going to be used for a motorway services area (tentatively named "Chigwell Services"), but it never got built. It's now used by the Police and Highways Agency as a control centre and staff base. One of the less interesting "works unit" exits. The fun ones have red and grey signs. |
